I’m so excited to share my review for Some Like It Cold by Elle McNicoll today! Thank you so much to the lovely Book Break UK and First Ink Books for my gorgeous proof copy! 💖

Some Like It Cold has absolutely stolen my heart, what a heartwarming and beautiful novel! I immediately fell in love with Elle McNicoll’s writing style, it was so warm and utterly addicting. Once I started reading I didn’t want to put the book down for anything!

The characters were so much fun and I related so much to Jasper which made it feel extra special. There were so many points where I wanted to give her a big hug because I’ve been in a similar situation and she’s a character that is going to stay close to my heart forever! Plus, the grumpy x sunshine elements with her and Arthur were so GOOD! That will always be one of my favourite tropes because it hits every time! I really enjoyed the hate to blossoming romance pipeline that these two had but also that this wasn’t just a love story but also a story about accepting and loving yourself.

The small town setting was so cute and I loved how everyone knew each other and everyone’s business! There was definitely a supportive community vibe and I really liked how that really shone in the excerpts that detailed Arthurs documentary of the town.

Some Like It Cold is the perfect book to snuggle up with in these colder months and was a such a lovely read!
